About Solvesight
Understanding and working with complex systems, not fighting against them.
We’re a team of systems thinkers and problem solvers who help organizations navigate complexity. We believe that the most effective solutions emerge when we understand both the technical and human dimensions of complex challenges. Our approach is grounded in a simple principle: the best solutions are often the simplest ones that work.
How We Think
Some ideas stick with you, shaping how you see the world and approach your work. For us, the lessons of John Gall, Donella Meadows, Peter Senge, Nassim Taleb, and Russell Ackoff have become part of our DNA. Gall reminds us that every big, working system started as something small and simple—evolution and iteration win every time. Meadows taught us to look for leverage, those small changes that make a big difference, and to pause before pushing on a system. Senge opened our eyes to organizations as living, learning systems, inspiring us to help teams adapt and grow together. Taleb gave us a healthy respect for uncertainty, encouraging us to design our work so that surprises can actually make us stronger. And Ackoff is our reminder to always question the problem itself—when we’re stuck, his approach nudges us to step back and ask if we’re even solving the right thing. These thinkers help us see complexity as an opportunity, not an obstacle, and their influence runs through everything we do.
This perspective shapes how we approach problem-solving:
- We think like gardeners, not builders - creating the right environment for growth rather than micromanaging
- We focus on alignment over control - building shared vision and trust
- We embrace emergence - designing systems that encourage desirable behaviors
- We view misalignment as a system design challenge, not individual failure
- We recognize that success often comes from creating the right conditions rather than trying to control every detail

Our Process
We’ve adapted the OODA (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act) loop, developed by military strategist John Boyd, to help organizations thrive in today’s rapidly changing business landscape. This framework helps us navigate complex situations by processing information and acting faster than the competition.
-
Observe: Like a skilled investor analyzing market trends, we help you gather the right information. We cut through the noise to find what matters, creating a clear map of your complex landscape.
-
Orient: Just as a chess grandmaster sees patterns on the board, we help you make sense of what you see. We develop mental models that turn raw data into useful insights.
-
Decide: Similar to how a successful entrepreneur evaluates opportunities, we help you make better choices, even when things are uncertain. We build frameworks for consistent decision-making.
-
Act: Like a professional athlete who learns from every play, we help you learn and adapt as you go. We turn every action into a chance to improve and create value.
Why It Works
Our approach works because it’s built on understanding how complex systems actually work. It’s not about having all the answers - it’s about having the right framework for finding answers. It’s not about predicting the future - it’s about being ready for whatever the future brings. Most importantly, it’s about creating tangible business value through better decision-making, improved efficiency, and sustainable growth.
